Last Friday officially marked the end of my first year of college at St. Norbert!
The last few weeks of classes and exams flew by and it was very hard to say goodbye to some incredible new friends.
Full Spectrum Learning
For the past year I have been working for Full Spectrum Learning as a Research Fellow. I had the opportunity to present at the Undergraduate Research Forum in early April about how we are using domains to enhance our research. I have also had the opportunity to present for other meetings on campus including the SyNC conference and Gift Planning Advisory Council.
I wrote about my recap of my goals and the end of the year here.
I am excited to announce I will be attending and presenting at the Reclaim Hosting Domains Conference in June in Durham, North Carolina and will also be attending the Digital Pedagogy Lab at the University of Mary-Washington in Maryland in August.
I can’t wait to continue my research fellowship next year. I am excited to announce I also will be working as a Tech Bar Consultant next year!
From April 12th-14th I had the blessing of attending the Chiara/Frassati Retreat at Rankin Lodge in Wabeno, WI. The weekend was an incredible time to disconnect from the stress of the world and connect closer to God and all of the people on the retreat. The theme of the retreat was revival and it truly revived me for the last few weeks of the semester.
Honors First-Year Dinner
On April 25th, Honor’s first-year students had the ability to have dinner at President Bruess’ house. It was a great time with the fellow honor’s students and with the president of the college.
With the weather being nicer for one day, I decided to adventure outside and have a photo shoot. Thanks to Lauren for being my amazing photographer and even better friend!
End of the Year Bonfire
A couple of weeks ago I had some of my friends over for a bonfire and just some fun together. It was a great time away from the stress of campus and exam week that was looming over all of our heads. We ventured to Zesty’s for a sweet treat and then my house for the bonfire. I loved spending time with each of them and it made me realize how much I am going to miss all of them over summer!
Exam week was the hardest of them all not only because of exams, but because that meant it was time to say goodbye for the summer. I have grown so close to so many people and it made it remarkably hard to say goodbye, even if it only is for the summer.
I am so thankful for all of the incredible memories I have made this year and I cannot wait for three more years of adventures together! Thank you to all of the incredible friends I have made, especially all of the second-floor sisters who have become my second family. Onto sophomore year!
